Founded in 2011, the “Aleksandër Moisiu” Association is the first point of contact for Albanian writers in Austria and a reference point for Albanian literature in this country.

Over the years, it has organised more than 80 literary events and book promotions, published dozens of works by Albanian authors in Austria, and two anthologies, “Illyricum I” and “Illyricum II”, thus making a significant contribution to cultivating national identity through literature.

This time, the literary meeting was held in a different format compared to previous occasions. At the invitation of the Embassy of Kosovo in Vienna, two well-known authors from Kosovo, Blerina Rogova Gaxha and Emin Z. Emini, took part in a joint literary event.

This co-organisation aims to strengthen cultural ties between the diaspora and creators in the homeland, making literature a bridge of unity and reflection on an important date for the state of Kosovo, said Anton Marku, Chairman of the Writers’ Association “Aleksandër Mojsiu”.

The event brought together book lovers, institutional representatives, and the Albanian community in Austria, marking not only a symbolic anniversary but also a continued commitment to the Albanian language, culture, and identity.
