Located next to the Vienna International Centre, the project seeks to transform a space often associated with diplomacy, security and international politics into a vibrant platform for public dialogue and cultural exchange. Through artistic and architectural installations, performances and participatory formats, UNPLATZ! invites visitors to reflect on the meaning of public space, democracy and community in contemporary society.

The programme features exhibitions, performances, discussions, concerts and interactive installations by numerous Austrian and international artists. Highlights include performances by Polgar Voices, New Choir, Trubači Beč, a harp concert by Antonia Dosti, as well as large-scale installations and public interventions addressing identity, participation and social responsibility.

Conceived by Milan Mijalkovic in collaboration with Christine Hohenbüchler and the Donaucity Church, UNPLATZ! aims to create new spaces for encounter, reflection and collective imagination at the heart of Vienna’s international district.
